Biodiversity at Butler

BioBlitz!

Each September, dozens of people from the greater Laurel community, including parents, students, alumnae & friends, come to the Butler Campus to assist Cleveland Museum of Natural History staff and Laurel School science faculty to record hundreds of flora and fauna species found throughout the northern half of the campus.

• BioBlitz is an outgrowth of an extraordinary working partnership between Laurel School and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History (CMNH)

• CMNH naturalists lead walking tours through biologically diverse areas of Laurel’s 140-acre wooded Butler Campus

• Information gathered from each BioBlitz is assembled in a Butler Campus species biodiversity catalogue. This catalogue will grow each year as we undertake this annual BioBlitz!
