Scholar in Residence

Supported by a grant from the E. E. Ford Foundation, Laurel’s Scholar-in-Residence program is unique in its efforts to reach out to teachers from throughout the region by providing them with hands-on instruction in the arts and humanities.

The goal of Laurel’s Scholar-in-Residence program is to provide creative approaches to using Laurel’s 140-acre wooded Butler Campus as multi-discipline learning laboratory.  For two weeks, our resident scholar resides at Laurel’s Fairmount Campus in Russell Township.

The Charter One Foundation and the Women’s Community Foundation have also provided funding for Laurel’s Scholar-in-Residence program.
