Everywhere one looks in Laurel's Upper School the evidence of an extraordinary student body, superlative faculty, and a cutting edge curriculum catch one's eye.

The Engineering Program at Laurel School

As the only girls’ school in the country to offer a full progression of coursework in engineering, Laurel School embraces the nation’s increasing emphasis on early education in science, technology,
engineering and mathematics (STEM).

During the school year students may take Principles of Engineering I, Principles of Engineering II and Engineering Technology. In addition, students may participate in the Olevolos Engineering Projects.

Unparalleled World Languages Opportunities

Laurel School is the only girls' school in Northeast Ohio where students can choose from five different languages to study: Chinese, French, Latin, Spanish and, for seniors, Ancient Greek.

Standardized Testing Achievements over the past five years:

  • 11% of Laurel’s graduating seniors were named National Merit Semifinalists - the highest percentage of any girls’ school in Ohio.
  • 65% of the 601 AP exams taken by Laurel students have earned scores of 4 or 5.
  • 632 average SAT Math
  • 672 average SAT Writing
  • 653 average SAT Critical Reading
  • 27 average ACT composite score

The Synergy Project
