  • 11% of Laurel’s graduating seniors were named National Merit Semifinalists - the highest percentage of any girls’ school in Ohio.
  • 65% of the 601 AP exams taken by Laurel students have earned scores of 4 or 5.

Pre-Engineering

The only girls' school in Ohio to have a pre-engineering program, Laurel empowers its students to prepare for an engineering track in college by offering three courses.

During the school year students may take Principles of Engineering; Computer-Aided Design for Engineers and Structured Programming for Engineers are currently offered as summer courses.

Protege Access to your Future

More than 20 students in 2006-2007 worked with the Office of Strategic Programming to design unique internship, research assistantship and mentorship opportunites.

 

The Synergy Project

Laurel's Upper School has developed significant curricular partnerships with the Cleveland Museum of Natural History (9th grade) and with the Cleveland Museum of Art (10th grade).

Unparalleled World Language Opportunities

Laurel School is the only girls' school in Northeast Ohio where students can choose from five different languages to study: Chinese, French, Latin, Spanish and, for seniors, Ancient Greek.
