Applying to Pre-Primary School

Laurel School accepts applications for our Pre-Primary School (co-ed Early Learners, Preschool, Prekindergarten and Outdoor Pre-Primary) throughout the year.

The below checklists outline the application requirements for our four Pre-Primary groups. All items must be completed before the Admissions Committee will review your application.

Admissions Checklist: Preschool and Prekindergarten

  • Student Screening

    • Preschool, Prekindergarten, and Outdoor Pre-Primary Screenings will be conducted individually via Zoom. Children are invited to participate in age-appropriate, fun activities with a member of our Pre-Primary School faculty.
    • Zoom Screenings are scheduled most Monday and Friday mornings between 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. Please contact the Admissions Office at 216-464-0946 or admissions@LaurelSchool.org to schedule an individual screening.

    Brunch at Butler for Accepted Families

    Families accepted to Laurel are invited to spend time on our Butler Campus in Russell Township learning more about how we use this 150-acre property for athletics, STEM and STEAM initiatives, leadership development on our Project Adventure course and more! Laurel administrators, teachers, coaches, parents and students will be on hand to share their perspectives on our two-campus advantage as you enjoy brunch prepared by Laurel’s Dining Services.

    All-School Open House (18 months-Grade 12)

    Prospective families for our Early Learners (18 months) through Grade 12 are invited to attend our spring Open House. Whether you are still considering a new school for next year or getting a jump start on the process for high school, this event will include information about the ways in which Laurel utilizes cutting-edge research to ensure that every girl is both challenged and supported. Families will go on student-led tours, meet our engaging faculty and learn more about our rich curriculum and dynamic co-curricular programs.
