Applying to Primary School

Laurel School accepts applications for our Primary School (Kindergarten – Grade 4) throughout the year.

The below checklist outlines the application requirements. All items must be completed before the Admissions Committee will review your application.

    • $40 non-refundable application fee
    • Parent/guardian questionnaire (complete online through the above link or print the pdf version)
    • Teacher evaluation for Grades 1-4 to be completed by current teacher (complete online through the above link or print the pdf version)
    • Teacher evaluation for Kindergarten to be completed by current teacher (complete online through the above link of print pdf version)
    • Records from candidate’s current school (complete online through the above link or print the pdf version)
  • Student and Parent Visit

  • Student Screening

    • Students are required to complete an academic assessment as part of their application to Laurel.
    • Assessments will be offered on specific dates in January TBD.

    Introduction to Laurel for New Families

    Head of School Ann V. Klotz and other school leaders will introduce themselves to newly enrolled families as they prepare to transition to Laurel School in the fall of 2021. We will provide a brief overview on things such as required Back-to-School forms, parent volunteer opportunities, uniforms and other resources, followed by a light dinner and an opportunity to meet other families who are joining the Laurel community.
