Director of Development
Ms. Cantwell joined the Laurel School community in September of 2014. She attended John Dewey High School, a magnet school in Brooklyn, NY.
After graduating with a B.A. in Writing and Literature from Eugene Lang College, she held a variety of positions ranging from securities analysis to market research.
She finally found her calling in fundraising, where analytical and creative skills are equally useful; more importantly, Ms. Cantwell loves the hopefulness that a spirit of philanthropy envelops. Seeking to expand her knowledge of how positive psychology can affect entire groups or organizations, in May 2019 she completed a M.S. in Positive Organizational Development and Change from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.
Ms. Cantwell is grateful for all that she learned while working at The Graduate Center of CUNY, Bard College, Trinity-Pawling School and Tuxedo Park School, as well as the dozens of organizations she helped while a consultant for Blackbaud Inc. Using that experience to further the mission of Laurel School, as a member of the leadership team and as a Laurel parent, is a dream come true.
