Claire Fedor '19 and her Bridge "Fedor Crossing" Featured in Chagrin Valley Times and Chagrin-Solon Sun

In addition to her media coverage in the Cleveland Plain Dealer and News-Herald in May, Claire Fedor '19 was also featured in the Chagrin Valley Times in a story titled, "Capstone Project Gives Laurel School Grad Bridge to Knowledge" for the work she completed on designing a pedestrian bridge,

which has now been installed at Laurel's Butler Campus and put to the test at LaureLive, which took place in early June. Fedor Crossing was Claire's project as part of her Capstone Experience, which aims to cultivate purpose, relationships and leadership using one of four lenses--civic engagement, entrepreneurship, global studies and STEAM.

Claire was also featured in a Chagrin-Solon Sun story, which states that, "For the bridge project, Claire worked with her STEAM [cohort] at school, along with mentors Larissa Burlij, a Cleveland architect with Bialosky, and Mary Ann Pellerano, Laurel's director of facilities. Claire learned all aspects of bridge building, from engineering, architecture and design to project management and construction."
