Laurel’s First LEGO League Robotics Team Qualifies for State Tournament

Congratulations to the Middle School robotics team, The Science Sisters, for their incredible effort at the remote District Tournament!
The team of Amelia Bravo '26, Frances Farmery '28, Ruby Floyd '28, Sophia Novak '28, Leah Stephany '26, Violet Vitale '28, and Claire Witalec '28 won the Core Values award, which focuses on keeping discovery, impact, fun, innovation, inclusion, and teamwork at the center of all they do. The team also scored big on the mission table, advancing them to the State competition in March! This came after a fantastic performance at the virtual Regional FIRST LEGO League tournament in early February, where they took fourth place out of 24 teams and first place for the best innovative project in the competition. Good luck at States, Science Sisters!
