Heather Diemer Havre ’86

Director of Primary, Grades 3-5
As a Laurel alumna, Mrs. Havre spent 14 years at the school as a student. She has taught at Laurel since 2002 and has worked in education since 1992. She is also a Laurel parent.

At Laurel, Mrs. Havre has served in many roles ranging from academic and technology support to Fourth Grade homeroom and Fifth Grade social studies teacher.

Administratively, Mrs. Havre previously served as the Fifth and Sixth Grade Dean. She has a B.A. in English from Hamilton College and a Masters in Education from John Carroll University.

From her mid-teens, Mrs. Havre volunteered and worked a number of jobs foretelling her path in education--from sailing instructor to outdoor educator. Mrs. Havre has a particular interest in the use of our Butler Campus to enhance Laurel’s curriculum. She sees herself as cheerleader and support to her phenomenal faculty, and enjoys partnering with parents to create a warm and inclusive Primary School community.
