Daniel McGee

Director of Technology & Library Services
Mr. McGee began his tenure as Laurel’s Director of Technology & Library Services in 2012, leading school areas in educational technology, information technology, and libraries. He and his team ensure Laurel’s students are prepared for the complicated world they will inherit.

Working for nearly 15 years in independent girls’ schools, Mr. McGee has also served as an instructor of German language, history, and culture in secondary and post-secondary institutions.

Mr. McGee completed graduate work with an M.Ed in Instructional Technology from the University of Akron and an MA in German Studies from the University of Cincinnati, where he was a Max Kade Fellow. His undergraduate studies in German and K12 education were completed at Mount Union College with study abroad at Univesität Lüneburg in Germany.

A charter member of the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS), Mr. McGee is an active collaborator and contributor to the field of education with a vision and strategy for change and innovation. His work can be found in Education IT Reporter, eSchoolNews, and Access Points: The Journal of the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools, and he has been featured in Cleveland Magazine and Cleveland Jewish News.
