Laurel’s Director of Enrollment Management Highlights Benefits of Choosing Private School in Cleveland Magazine Story

Abigail Steinberg, Director of Enrollment Management at Laurel, was included in a recent Cleveland Magazine story focused on why families choose private over public school.

In the piece Abigail stated, "I hear from a lot of families that say their child is doing ‘just fine,’ and I ask, ‘Do you want just fine for your child?’ You want excellent teachers. You want education for the whole child. You want the highest academic standards, and that is what an independent school can offer families.”

Lynn Roth, mother of Megan Roth '21, was also interviewed for the story where she discusses how her daughter was thriving in the public school setting but desired a smaller classroom environment. She stated that, “We felt like there was so much opportunity for her to show herself and develop skills in a smaller environment - one-size-fits-all doesn’t work for everyone. After a day shadowing, Megan felt at home. She said, ‘This is where I want to be.’” Click here to read the full story.
