The feature highlights the many ways in which Laurel students learn about diversity, from story time for 3-year-olds to groups like the Asian Culture Club and the Black Student Union. Lauren also highlights Linked@Laurel, an affinity group for students of color in which students and teachers explore their experiences in and out of the classroom. In the article, she states that, "Increasing and supporting diversity at independent schools must be thoughtful and purposeful from day one." Lauren also touches on the importance of marketing to a diverse population, not only for our student body but for our faculty and staff as well.
