Laurel Figure Skating Team Places 4th at Ohio High School Team Figure Skating Championships
The Laurel Figure Skating Team, led by team captain Elena Luria ’21 and made up of both Middle and Upper School students, competed in the Ohio High School Team Figure Skating Championships on February 8 and 9.
Laurel’s theme was video games (think Wii, Mario Kart and Just Dance!) and the team came in an impressive 4th place out of 12, including 4th in Production Ensemble and 1st in Team Maneuvers.
Many Laurel skaters received individual medals as well (listed below). Congratulations to the entire team and their school team advisor, Catherine Butler, who also serves as Laurel’s Department Chair of Visual Arts K-12.
