Kayla Thomas-Black Talks Senior Year in a Pandemic on WCPN's Sound of Ideas

Kayla Thomas-Black '20 was a guest alongside Dr. Lisa Damour, Executive Director of Laurel's Center for Research on Girls, on a recent episode of Sound of Ideas on WCPN Radio.
Kayla spoke about the feelings she and her classmates are experiencing finishing up their final year at Laurel remotely and during a pandemic. Kayla cited resilience as something she sees regularly among she and her classmates, and a general feeling of hope as we continue to move through this strange time. Kayla, who starred in Laurel's Spring production of Annie, will be attending the University of Cincinnati where she will major in acting. Dr. Damour also weighed in during the show to discuss how to support teens that are feeling major losses during this time. Click here to listen to the full story.
