Jami Morris ‘21 Featured in Cleveland Jewish News

On the heels of her recent first place finish at the State Golf Tournament (the second time she has placed first in her high school career), Jami Morris '21 was recently featured in the Cleveland Jewish News where she spoke about how it felt to come in first!
"It's an incredible feeling. It is what I've dreamed about since I started playing golf. And to do it twice is just remarkable." On top of Jami’s success, her teammates have experienced success on the course, as well. As a team, Laurel has made it to the state tournament each of the last four years. They have finished as a top 12 team in the state each of the past four years, including No. 3 this season. Laurel golf coach Marti Hardy, who was also quoted in the story, credits Morris’ leadership for her team’s accomplishments. Marti states that, “She is such a student of the game, and respects the game so much, that she’s able to spot when (her teammates) were reading incorrectly or standing and aiming the wrong way. And she’s able to let them know that without them being embarrassed or upset.” Click here to read the full story.
