Carey Jaros ‘96 Appears on CNBC’s “Closing Bell”

Nearly one year after the start of the pandemic and shutdown, Carey Jaros '96, President and CEO of GOJO (makers of PURELL), appeared in her first TV interview and weighed in on how GOJO handled extreme growth in the face of demand on CNBC's "Closing Bell."
In the piece she reports that PURELL hand sanitizer sales surged 568% to $1.5 billion year over year through late February. To meet that demand, the company pumped $400 million into expanding manufacturing capabilities, increased operations to around-the-clock production and hired more than 500 new employees last year.

Carey joined GOJO in 2016 as chief strategy officer and transitioned to chief operating officer in July 2018. She was named president and CEO beginning January 1, 2020.
