Joe Corsaro Talks Entrepreneurship in Currents Magazine Feature

Joe Corsaro, History Teacher and Entrepreneurship Program Leader, was included in a recent Currents Magazine article titled, "Entrepreneurial Education Helps to Pave Road to Success."
He states that Laurel's goal "is for each girl to feel empowered to manage her finances and advocate for herself, regardless of what career path she chooses." He says, "Additionally, a goal of our program is to explore careers outside of STEM fields for girls focused on arts and humanities." Joe touches on the many entrepreneurial opportunities available to students across nearly all grades including the "Gator Creators" club, open to Third-Eighth Graders, which encourages all members to identify problems in the community and create a solution. "In the Upper School, students are offered a wide range of options. Our goal is to meet each girl where she is," he says. Upper School opportunities include Capstone, Protégé, the Laurel Investment Committee, and One Coffee Circle, a coffee business run by students in partnership with Cleveland Coffee.
