Cherish Hayes '22 and Hayley Smith '22 Featured in The Land Newsletter

Cherish Hayes '22 and Hayley Smith '22 were featured in a story in the newsletter The Land about their work with GCUFFlinks, an offshoot program of the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival, which launched in 2015 and prepares aspiring young filmmakers and actors from Greater Cleveland for the world stage.

Cherish has completed one year with the program and is the dancer featured in the GCUFFlinks documentary, which tells the story of the Inaugural class of GCUFFLinks and was included in the 2021 Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival lineup. She is currently a member of ELEVATED Dance in Brecksville and performed in Cleveland Ballet’s 2019 production of “The Nutcracker.”

Hayley has been a part of the program for four years. She loves to act and starred in “Behind Closed Doors” and “Sharp.” She plans on attending an HBCU and becoming a pediatric nurse.
