  • A Message from Early Childhood School Leadership

    Dear Early Childhood Families,

Happy Halloween!  We have had a very autumnal week in EC with pumpkins, Halloween shirts and accessories, and special activities to get excited for Halloween!  It is truly so delightful to see young children find so much excitement and magic during the Halloween season.

This week, we have been happy to welcome Meredith Edgerly to our Early Childhood faculty!  Meredith will be working as an assistant in Jennie Regalbuto and Maureen Scott’s Early Learner classroom, filling the position that Breanna Danforth resigned from earlier this month. Mrs. Edgerly, who has previously taught in Colorado, is the mom to 2 Laurel girls, Amelia ‘30 and Elliette ‘32.  We are so happy that she is joining us as an assistant!

Teachers have been hard at work completing comments and checklists for their students, as well as preparing for their conferences with you next week.  We value opportunities to meet with you, and we hope that the conferences are meaningful times for you to learn more about your child’s days at school.
Enjoy the weekend with your little pumpkins!

    Warmly,

    Jennifer Harrison
    Associate Director of Early Childhood

    Bella Patel
Director of Early Childhood and Primary Schools
  • Important Reminders:

    • NO SCHOOL on Friday, November 7 for Conferences.
    • As the weather turns cooler, please be sure that your child’s change of clothes at school is weather appropriate, and that they have appropriate gear for outdoor play!
  • Conference Sign-up for November 7

Early Childhood conferences will be held in person on Friday, November 7. There is no school on this day for students, and we ask that students do not attend conferences. Your child’s teachers will look forward to speaking with you and sharing anecdotes, growth, and individualized school experiences.   Registering for conferences will happen via MyLaurel. Once you are logged in, click “Resources” on the top menu bar, then click the “Conference Registration” tile. This link provides more information about how to register. You will notice that this system allows you to see all your students’ conferences simultaneously so you can better coordinate signing up for multiple conferences.

Registration for conferences will close on Wednesday, November 5. If you need to change your time after that date, please contact Michelle Ramirez at mRamirez@LaurelSchool.org.
