You may voluntarily provide information about yourself and others to Laurel when using our Service. This may include information such as your name, address, contact information, educational information, employment information, billing information, payment information, or additional information you choose to provide to us. For example, we may collect this information when you submit forms through our Service, donate to Laurel, register for events, send us an inquiry, refer a family to Laurel, or provide alumni information. We may obtain information from third parties and combine it with the information that we collect.

You may choose to provide information about Laurel students, prospective students, and other individuals applying or registering for our programs, such as their names, ages, genders, birthdates, addresses, contact information, and educational information. We may collect this information, for instance, when you submit an admissions inquiry. We may also receive information about students or prospective students from third parties and combine that information with other personal information that we collect. For example, when the ISEE is used to apply to Laurel, the ISEE will share your child’s test information with Laurel for our admissions purposes.

In addition to the above, we automatically collect certain technical information during the use of our Service, such as your domain name, IP address, browser type, device identifier, activities on the Service, and date and time of your visit through the use of cookies and similar technology. Please see the “Digital Advertising & Analytics” section of this privacy policy to learn more about the use of this information and the choices available to you.

The Service also includes links to third-party websites where you may be able to submit personal information directly to those third parties. Please see the section on “Links to Third Party Sites & Tools” below for more information.

We may share technical information, as well as any other information that has been de-identified or aggregated so that it does not identify you personally, without restriction.

We may partner with ad networks and other ad serving providers (“Advertising Providers”) that serve ads on behalf of us and others on non-affiliated platforms. Some of those ads may be personalized, meaning that they are intended to be relevant to you based on information Advertising Providers collect about your use of the Service and other sites or apps over time, including information about relationships among different browsers and devices. This type of advertising is known as interest-based advertising.

Laurel adheres to the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”) Self-Regulatory Principles in connection with this interest-based advertising activity. You may visit the DAA Webchoices tool at https://youradchoices.com to learn more about this type of advertising and how to opt out of this advertising on websites by companies participating in the DAA self-regulatory program.  If you delete your cookies or use a different browser or mobile device, you may need to renew your opt-out choices exercised through the DAA Webchoices tool. Note that electing to opt out will not stop advertising from appearing in your browser or applications. It may make the ads you see less relevant to your interests.

We may also work with third parties that collect data about your use of the Site and other sites or apps over time for non-advertising purposes. Laurel uses Google Analytics and other third-party services to improve the performance of the Service and for analytics and marketing purposes. For more information about how Google Analytics collects and uses data when you use our Service, visit https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and to opt out of Google Analytics, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Additionally, your browser may offer tools to limit the use of cookies or to delete cookies; however, if you use these tools, our Service may not function as intended.

The Service contains links to third-party sites and apps and also integrates third-party web applications that we use to support a variety of functions. We may provide information to these integrated third-party web applications, and the integrated applications may also collect information directly.

Some parts of the Service may include integrated social media tools or “plug-ins,” such as social networking tools offered by third parties. If you use these tools to share personal information or you otherwise interact with social media features on the Service, those social media companies may collect information about you and may use and share such information in accordance with your account settings, including by sharing such information with the general public.

Your interactions with third-party companies like those described in this section and your use of their features are governed by the privacy policies of the companies that provide those features. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. Laurel encourages you to learn about the privacy practices and policies of those companies.
