Kindergarten-Grade 5 Application

Laurel School accepts applications for Kindergarten–Grade 5 throughout the year. The below checklist outlines the application requirements. All items must be completed before the Admissions Committee will review your application.

  • January 20, 2025 (Early Learners-Grade 8)

    Admission application and Variable Tuition application (Kindergarten-Grade 8 only) deadline
  • February 13, 2025

    Notification of Admission, Variable Tuition Awards and Scholarships
  • February 28, 2025

    Response due to the School
  • After February 28, 2025

    Rolling admissions as space allows for all grades

    • $40 non-refundable application fee
    • Parent/guardian questionnaire (complete online through the above link or print the pdf version)
    • Teacher evaluation for Grades 1-5 to be completed by current teacher (complete online through the above link or print the pdf version)
    • Teacher evaluation for Kindergarten to be completed by current teacher (complete online through the above link of print pdf version)
    • Records from candidate’s current school (complete online through the above link or print the pdf version)
  • Student and Parent Visit

    The best way to learn more about Laurel is by scheduling a visit. Find out how on our Visiting Laurel page.
  • Student Screening

    • Students are required to complete an academic assessment as part of their application to Laurel.
    • Assessments will be offered on specific dates in January TBD.

    Butler Campus Open House

    Laurel has a two-campus advantage! Our 150-acre Butler Campus is utilized by every grade at Laurel. Connect with members of the Laurel community as you tour Laurel School’s Butler Campus, home to Grades 3-5, Outdoor Prekindergarten and our Environmental Justice Semester, which enrolls girls in Grades 10 and 11 from schools across Northeast Ohio. Come visit our state-of-the-art athletic facilities, including the 16,000-square-foot Alice Lehmann Butler Center for Fitness and Wellness.
