  • Campus Tours

    Prospective students and families are invited to tour Laurel's Lyman and Butler Campuses throughout the school year.  Individual and small group tours are offered during regular school hours and on select weekdays after school.
  • Classroom Visits (Prospective K-12)

    Prospective students may schedule individualized visits to Laurel classrooms throughout the school year. Visiting students will meet current students and faculty, and will experience Laurel's curriculum first-hand by engaging in classroom activities. Students applying to Grades 9-12 may visit on most Fridays during the academic year; all other grades are scheduled on an individual basis based on classroom schedules.

Getting to Our Lyman Campus

1 Lyman Circle, Shaker Heights, OH 44122
The main entrance of the school is marked by a flagpole and a low stone wall that says “Laurel School”. There are reserved parking spaces for admissions visitors on the main entrance’s driveway, conveniently located by the front door. After you enter the building through the main double doors, the Admissions Office is located immediately to the right.

Getting to Our Butler Campus

7420 Fairmount Road, Novelty, OH 44072
To reach the Butler Campus from Cleveland and Shaker Heights, follow Fairmount Boulevard east. The entrance to the campus is 3.3 miles east of SOM Center Road, between County Line Road and Caves Road. Parking is available across from the tennis courts, almost all the way up the drive towards the Butler Center.

    The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE), is a highly regarded and widely accepted test for entrance into top-performing independent schools around the world.     Parents of students accepted to Early Learners through Prekindergarten are invited to join Head of School Ann V. Klotz for conversation over coffee about Laurel’s commitment to fostering the love of learning in our youngest students. Administrators, faculty members and current Laurel parents will also be available to answer questions.

    Bring Your Friend to School Day, Prospective Students Grades K-8

    Current Laurel students in Kindergarten through Grade 7 are invited to bring a friend to school and share with her what makes Laurel such an amazing place to learn. Visiting friends will spend time in their Laurel friend’s classrooms, as well as enjoy lunch, recess and specials.

    Prospective families for our Early Learners (18 months) through Grade 12 are invited to attend our spring Open House. Whether you are still considering a new school for the fall or getting a head start on the process for the following year, this event will include information about the ways in which Laurel utilizes cutting-edge research to ensure that every girl is both challenged and supported.     Kick off the summer with classmates new and old! Families of rising Laurel Ninth Graders will gather to enjoy a cool treat and a chance to build community. Class t-shirts will be distributed to students during   , after which a class photo will be taken.
