About In-Person Visits

  • Campus Tours

    Prospective students and families are invited to tour Laurel's Lyman and Butler Campuses throughout the school year. Individual and small group tours are offered during regular school hours and on select weekdays after school.
  • Classroom Visits (Prospective K-12)

    Prospective students may schedule individualized visits to Laurel classrooms throughout the school year. Visiting students will meet current students and faculty, and will experience Laurel's curriculum first-hand by engaging in classroom activities. Students applying to Grades 9-12 may visit on most Fridays during the academic year; all other grades are scheduled on an individual basis based on classroom schedules.

    Laurel School is dedicated to keeping the health and safety of both our school community and those interested in learning more about Laurel at the forefront of what we do.

Getting to Our Lyman Campus

1 Lyman Circle, Shaker Heights, OH 44122
The main entrance of the school is marked by a flagpole and a low stone wall that says “Laurel School”. There are reserved parking spaces for admissions visitors on the main entrance’s driveway, conveniently located by the front door. After you enter the building through the main double doors, the Admissions Office is located immediately to the right.

Getting to Our Butler Campus

7420 Fairmount Road, Novelty, OH 44072
To reach the Butler Campus from Cleveland and Shaker Heights, follow Fairmount Boulevard east. The entrance to the campus is 3.3 miles east of SOM Center Road, between County Line Road and Caves Road. Parking is available across from the tennis courts, almost all the way up the drive towards the Butler Center.

    Butler Campus Open House

    Laurel has a two-campus advantage! Our 150-acre Butler Campus is utilized by every grade at Laurel. Connect with members of the Laurel community as you tour Laurel School's Butler Campus, home to Grades 3-5, Outdoor Prekindergarten and our Environmental Justice Semester, which enrolls girls in Grades 10 and 11 from schools across Northeast Ohio. Come visit our state-of-the-art athletic facilities, including the 16,000-square-foot Alice Lehmann Butler Center for Fitness and Wellness.     Gator Days: Screening Event for PS, PK & K Applicants

    Children (and parents) applying for Preschool, Prekindergarten, Outdoor Prekindergarten and Kindergarten must attend our Gator Day event in order to complete their application for admission. Children will engage with Early Childhood teachers and their prospective peers in a play-based assessment of school readiness. Please note that the Admissions Office will reach out to you to choose a 30-minute time slot between 8:30-11:00 a.m. after you have registered. REGISTER HERE!

    Parents of accepted students are invited to join Head of School Ann V. Klotz for conversation over coffee about Laurel's commitment to our mission of inspiring each girl to fulfill her promise and to better the world. Administrators, faculty members and current Laurel parents will also be available to answer questions. Accepted students are welcome to take a second look by spending additional time in classrooms to see what sets Laurel apart. Please note that students accepted to Grades 3-5 will revisit at the Butler Campus.
