Shelby Parker is an operations and program management professional with over a decade of experience across healthcare and academic environments. Before joining the Laurel community, she served as a Graduate Medical Education and Transitional Year Residency Program Coordinator where she oversaw administrative operations for a number of residency and fellowship programs, managed accreditation compliance with ACGME standards, lead recruitment and onboarding initiatives, and assisted in coordinating program finances, including CMS IRIS audit reporting for the institution.

Prior to her role in medical education, Shelby spent nine years as an English Language Arts teacher designing performance-driven and engaging programs and leveraging data analysis to improve student outcomes. She particularly enjoyed collaborating across teams to implement school-wide initiatives and programming. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University (Summa Cum Laude) and maintains certifications in teaching (Integrated Language Arts 7-12), Mental Health First Aid, and CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.

In her free time, Shelby enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her husband and their two children.
