Darius Steward’s “Time to Give You Flowers” Featured in Sun Press

Darius Steward, local Cleveland artist,Upper School Art Teacher and Laurel parent (Emily ’35), was featured in the Sun Press where his latest piece of work “Time to Give You Flowers” is highlighted. The mural, which represents the relationships, rituals, and sense of belonging that shape generations of Laurel students, now hangs in our Primary School hallway and was supported by the generosity of Susan Shons Luria ’85.

A 2018 Cleveland Arts Prize Emerging Artist whose work appears throughout Northeast Ohio, including Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and public art installations across Cleveland, Mr. Steward’s mural brings a unique perspective as both an accomplished artist and a member of the Laurel community.
