Gators Basketball Beats Brush 74-73 in Overtime

Yesterday’s Cleveland.com high school sports update “In a girls basketball game that lived up to every bit of the hype, the Laurel Gators outlasted the Brush Arcs 74–73 in overtime Monday night in a non‑conference showdown at Brush.” Another amazing win for the No. 2 ranked Gators!
 
The story goes on to highlight that, “Senior Tristan Williams ‘26 led the charge with 32 points, while Jordyn Meyer ‘27 provided a huge complementary punch, scoring 20 points and knocking down four of the Gators’ 3‑pointers to help stretch the floor at key moments.” Read the full story here.

Tristan was also named a 2026 McDonald’s All-American West Nominee. This honor is reserved for senior basketball players who are recognized as one of the top, elite talents. They are selected by coaches, athletic directors, or committee members for their exceptional achievements.
