Abigail Steinberg Highlights Culture and Well-Being as Essential for for Learners in Cleveland Magazine Story

Abigail Steinberg, Director of Enrollment Management, was included in the Cleveland Magazine story “What Northeast Ohio Parents Look for in a Private School” where she highlighted that, “Academic rigor means very little if a child doesn’t feel safe, seen and valued. Culture and well-being are the prerequisite for deep intellectual engagement.”

In the article, Mrs. Steinberg adds that, “At Laurel, we encourage parents to ask us how we build courage. Knowing how a school navigates conflict, failure and peer dynamics tells you everything about its true culture.”

Laurel’s Grades 6-12 Open House is coming up on October 8, 2026. Learn more here.
