Andrea Ausperk

Ms. Ausperk joined Laurel in August 2020 and is an active member of the Laurel community. She enjoys going to Laurel sporting events and helping students get on the bus after school. 

She began her finance career as a Project Accountant with the Auditor of State's office, helping Northeast Ohio government clients compile financial statements and forecast operating results. After receiving her Certified Public Accountant license, Ms. Ausperk began working for Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) as a grant accountant. Throughout seven years at Tri-C from 2010-2017, Ms. Ausperk had the opportunity to work in various accounting roles eventually finding her niche as the Budget Director. Continuing her commitment to education, Ms. Ausperk served as the Vice President/Chief Fiscal Officer at Lakeland Community College from 2017-2020. Ms. Ausperk was selected for the Mandel Leadership Development Program while at Tri-C and participated in Leadership Lake County while at Lakeland Community College.

Ms. Ausperk earned her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from Franklin University. She is part of the Auburn Career Center Foundation Board and the Fine Arts Association Board, and serves on the Accreditation Review Board for the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS).

Originally from Whidbey Island in Washington State, Ms. Ausperk met her husband in Guam while they both served in the U.S. Navy on the submarine tender USS Frank Cable. Serving as a Gunner's Mate in the Navy allowed her to travel throughout the Eastern Pacific and to fire small and large artillery weapons. In her spare time, Ms. Ausperk enjoys running, going to concerts and careening across the US in her travel trailer with her husband and two daughters.
