Kemy Cistone '28

Started: Seventh Grade
Attended: Mount Desert Elementary School, Mount Desert Island, Maine
Activities: Varsity Basketball, Varsity Soccer, Varsity Soccer, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) scholar, Black Student Union
Favorite Class: 9th grade modern world history has been my favorite class at Laurel these past four years without a doubt. This is not only because I had the amazing Ms Roberts as my teacher, but also because I love history in general. So seeing different perspectives through history from every time period really had me invested.
Favorite Laurel Thing:
The community has to be my favorite thing about Laurel. The community is unmatched here. Everyday I feel like I am in a space where I can truly be my most authentic self. I have people who push me to be my best. Teachers genuinely want to help you succeed. Overall I just know that Laurel is a place any girl can thrive because even if you don't realize it, there are people here with you every step of the way.
