Favorite Class: My favorite class at Laurel has been South Africa: From Apartheid to Democracy. The class with Ms. Clark fostered a new understanding of political warfare, foreign race relations, and hierarchical systems in the modern-day world. Through Ms. Clark's class, I was able to foster my interest in international relations and gain a new perspective on social systems.

Favorite Laurel Thing: My favorite thing about Laurel is the independence we receive. Laurel encourages us to choose our own classes, helps us create projects, lets us connect with professionals, gives us the responsibility to manage our day-to-day schedules, and puts us in the driver's seat of our high school experience. Because of this, I have been able to tailor my schedule to fit my interests in law and business. I believe it has given me a sense of agency that will help me to flourish in the future.
