Alum Toni Holloway ’88 Join Cleveland Leadership Center; Laurel Parents Join Board

A year after graduating from Leadership Cleveland 2025, Laurel parent Chris Halapy (Maddie ’28) has joined Cleveland Leadership Center’s (CLC) board of trustees to help further its mission. Laurel parent Dr. Scott Allen (Kate ’28 and Emily ’28) also joined the board this year after more than a decade partnering with CLC’s programming.
Mr. Halapy has spent almost 30 years at Shook Construction, working his way up from intern to President and CEO. Shook Construction is the company that built the Ruhlman Family Center, which opened in January 2026 for our students in Grades 3-5 at Butler.

Alum Toni Holloway ’88 is also making Cleveland Leadership Center News as their new Chief Advancement Officer. She said “CLC brings leaders together in ways that deepen connection, inspire civic action, and strengthen Greater Cleveland. As a CLC alum and Cleveland boomerang, I am honored to help grow its impact by connecting more people to its mission, expanding philanthropic support, and strengthening the foundation for future advancement.”
