Elizabeth Weingart '26 Law Day Runner Up

This year’s Law Day theme was “The Rule of Law & The American Dream,” and Elizabeth’s essay discussed how the practice of ICE agents detaining immigrants at or around their deportation court hearings undermines due process and prevents these individuals from having a proper chance at achieving the American Dream. 

Elizabeth also had the opportunity to hear from Judge Solomon Oliver Jr., senior United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
