Laurel Writers Take Home 2nd Place in Division II A at JustWrite State Tournament

Congratulations to Laurel’s JustWrite Division II A team of Lucy Dolzine ’27, Ana Rubio-Cavillo ’27, Hazel Segal ’27, Eliana Fieldman ’27, Amelia Bravo ’26, and Kareen Hurns ’27, who took 2nd place at the National Tournament in Bluffton, Ohio!

Congrats also goes to Shaashwatiyaa Balamurugan ’28, who won 10th place in her division in individual awards.

Amelia was recognized at the tournament for being one of only a handful of four-time JustWrite state qualifiers.

Laurel sent an impressive 17 Upper School students to this year’s State Tournament. There were nearly 400 writers from 67 schools competing.
