Gator Basketball Opens Season 3-0

Laurel basketball kicked off the season 3-0! The Gators, who were ranked #15 by Cleveland.com, defeated #4 Avon Lake 47-40 on November 29. Tristan Williams ’26 led the team with 19 points and shot an outstanding 80% from the free-throw line.

Olivia Schneider ’26 added ten points, four rebounds and three assists. Sydnee Robinson ’26 owned the paint, grabbing nine rebounds for the Gators. Jordyn Meyer ’27 added eight points, five rebounds and three assists, and Reese Grammes ’27 chipped in eight points and three rebounds. Following the win, the Gators moved up in the rankings to #10!

On December 3, the Gators defeated Hiland High School 85-56. Olivia and Tristan scored a combined 59 points to seal the deal!
