Claire Witalec '28 Qualifies for Tournament of Champions for Debate

Congratulations to Claire Witalec ’28, who recently competed at the Columbia University Invitational, where she finished as co-champion, a performance that earned her a second bid to the Tournament of Champions (TOC), the most prestigious national circuit debate tournament of the year.

With this accomplishment, Claire has officially qualified for the TOC and becomes the first Laurel debater in school history to do so. We are so proud of Claire’s dedication, preparation, and leadership as she continues to raise the bar for Laurel debate.
