Gator Field Hockey Shines in Post-Season Playoffs Run

Congratulations to Laurel’s incredible field hockey team on their impressive post season run! The team took on Stow on their home turf on October 14 and walked away with a 2-0 win in the first round of the OHSAA Tournament, with goals scored by Taylor Olsen '26 and Maddie Gurbach '26.

While the team gave a triumphant effort, they ultimately fell to Ottawa Hills in the second round of playoffs, but showed grit and true Gator spirit throughout. Most impressively, this season, the team was victorious (3-2) over rival Hathaway Brown in early October, and played our first season on the new turf—the best playing surface in the Midwest! Go Gators!
