Launchpad Director Andrew Cruse Highlights Importance of Mentorship in Cleveland Magazine
Andrew Cruse, Launchpad Director and Director of College Admissions, was included in a Cleveland Magazine story about the importance of mentorship in schools. In the piece, he states that, “Exposure to different voices leads to bigger thinking.”
Mr. Cruse highlights the independent projects Eighth Grade students have the opportunity to undertake, and then goes on to explain that, “As freshmen, students move into a Protégé Program that involves researching a career and connecting with a few alumnae professionals to set up meetings and learn more about their vocations. In a culminating Capstone Scholars program, students tackle real-world challenges with initiatives that bridge into the community. For instance, one student developed an organization to raise funds for setting up gluten-free sections at food banks.”
