Missy Rose

Director of College Guidance

Ms. Rose came to Laurel as Associate Director of College Guidance in 2011, and became Director in 2012. A graduate of St. Mary's School in Raleigh, NC, she graduated with a B.A. in Economics ...
...and French from Duke University. Her M.S. is in Linguistics from Georgetown University.

She worked in college admissions at Duke University in Durham, NC, and at Lewis and Clark College and Reed College, both in Portland, OR. She was Director of College Counseling at Paideia School in Atlanta, and Class Dean and College Counselor at Punahou School in Honolulu. Prior to coming to Laurel, she served as Director of Upper School at Hathaway Brown.
Ms. Rose serves on the President's Advisory Committee at Bryn Mawr College and is a member of the National Association of College Admission Counselors, the Ohio Association of College Admission Counselors, and the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools.

For a number of years prior to moving to Cleveland, Ms. Rose was involved with pet-assisted therapy in nursing homes and hospice care facilities, and for the past 14 years has been a volunteer in a local animal shelter.
