Andrew Cruse Highlights Variations in Standardized Testing Prep for Students in Cleveland Jewish News

Laurel's Associate Director of College Guidance Andrew Cruse recently weighed in on a Cleveland Jewish News story about how standardized test prep varies for students.
In the story Andrew recommends that students familiarize themselves with the format for both tests (SAT and ACT), and recommends students take both at least once to see which test they are most comfortable with. "From there, a retake of either test, with appropriate preparation or tutoring, is a best practice." Andrew goes on to say that regardless of the area students focus on, the best preparation lies in the practice. "A student should be well-advised to take a practice test before a formal exam. This allows students to get familiar with some of the basics of each test and what kinds of questions are asked."
