Jazmin Ross ‘25 Wins 1st Place in Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest

Congratulations to Jazmin Ross '25, 1st place winner in the 9th-12th grade division of the 34th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest sponsored by East View United Church of Christ in Shaker. 

Jazmin wrote a compelling essay on the topic: "Martin Luther King planned to lead the Poor People's March before his death. What can be done to eradicate poverty in the United States?" As a 1st place winner, Jazmin was invited to read her essay aloud at the awards program, which took place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
