Concetta Yormick ‘25 and Natalia Navarro ‘25 Finalists in Teen Accelerate
Congratulations to Concetta Yormick ‘25 and Natalia Navarro ‘25 who were both selected as finalists in Teen Accelerate, a civic-oriented pitch contest focused on solving problems in Northeast Ohio.
The students were part of the 10 finalists and both delivered a 5-minute pitch to local entrepreneurs. Concetta’s pitch focused on educating students ages 10-18 about eating disorders as well as educating teachers and other adults about symptoms of potential disordered eating thoughts. Natalia’s pitch, called “For the Flow”, works toward promoting accessibility to menstrual products and eliminating the issue of Period Poverty in Cleveland. Laurel was the only school to have two finalists included in the contest.
