Laurel Students Take First Place and Runner-Up at Shakespeare Competition
Congratulations to Nora Kelly '25 and Kate Allen '28 for their stellar performance at the Cleveland branch of the English Speaking Union for the National Shakespeare Competition!
This local competition included 11 students from area schools and Laurel dominated with Nora coming in first place and Kate as runner-up. Students had to perform a monologue and sonnet as part of the competition. Congrats are also in order for Andrew Cruse, Director of College Guidance and theater mentor, for his role in working with Nora and Kate to prepare.
Next up, Nora will head to the National Competition in April in New York City!
