The Land Highlights NEO Youth Climate Summit
The Land highlighted the first in-person NEO Youth Climate Summit on April 14 with an article recapping an inspiring afternoon led by area youth eager to make environmental change.
Environmental Justice Semester student Ivey Williams '25 is quoted in the story saying “This summit has grown from the seed planted in us students by the Environmental Justice Semester at Laurel School. Not only did we learn so much about environmental justice and everything that it encompasses, but more importantly, we learned how to stay curious. This semester granted each of us an insatiable thirst for positive change, channeling into a desire to share our passion and empowerment with this community.”
Angela Yeager, Director of Laurel’s Environmental Justice Semester was also included in the story and said “Youth really have the power to make adults listen and take action.”
TV20 also highlighted the NEO Youth Climate Summit. View the full piece here.
