Danielle Atkins ‘24 Performs at Maltz Performing Arts Center

Congratulations to Danielle Atkins '24, a member of the Euclid Symphony Orchestra as a double bassist, who played with the orchestra on February 17 at the Maltz Performing Arts Center for their presentation: “Spiritual Echoes: A Black History Celebration” conducted by Jimmie A. Parker, Sr.

The first half of the concert was classical music with the final score being Beethoven’s 5th Symphony 1st & 4th movements. After intermission, it was a Gospel Celebration featuring the Euclid Symphony Orchestra and chorus, and members from Shaw High School band. When Dani is not performing classical music and pop selections with the orchestra, she plays old-time fiddle music on her stand-up bass with Mud In Yer Eye, the oldest open contradance band in America.
