Andrew Cruse and Eugene Sumlin Bring Talents to the Northeast Ohio Arts Community

Two of Laurel's performing arts faculty members are currently showcasing their professional skills in the arts community in Northeast Ohio!
Andrew Cruse, Director of College Guidance and Upper School Drama Teacher and Theater Director, is starring in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder at the Ohio Shakespeare Festival in Akron. Mr. Cruse says “It's a very silly musical comedy in which I get to play nine different members of the D'ysquith family.” The show runs April 24 - May 18 and includes a free performance for students on May 1 at 8:00PM. Interested students can call 330-5-SHAKES to arrange for tickets or visit here to purchase tickets for another show.

Additionally, Eugene Sumlin, Performing Arts Teacher and Theatre Director, is directing Cinderella: Enchanted Edition at Heights Youth Theatre, which opens on May 16th and runs for two weekends. Audience members may also recognize some current Laurel students in the cast! Click here for more info and to buy tickets.
