Jami Morris ‘21 Nominated for the Big Ten Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award

Congratulations to Jami Morris ‘21 who has been nominated for the Big Ten Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award, which recognizes student athletes at Big Ten institutions who strive to have a positive impact not only in their chosen sport (Jami plays golf for Penn State) but also within their community.
Jami was inspired by her mother’s lymphoma diagnosis in 2020 and used her passion for the game of golf founding Hit Fore Hope to give back to the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland, Ohio. To date she has raised over $280,000 for the hospital through her annual golf event, which is held at Beechmont Country Club in Ohio each summer.

In addition to the Jackie Robinson nomination, Jami was also named to the inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Spring Team announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics this month. The 20 student-athletes chosen for this are recognized for their exceptional achievements in community service, athletics and academics. This year marks the first-ever expansion of the Good Works Team to include student-athletes from all collegiate sports and divisions.
