Indira Katiyar '23 Featured in Currents Magazine

Indira was included in a roundup piece in Currents Magazine that highlighted valedictorians from area schools. In her interview, Indira recalls the many obstacles, extracurriculars, and fun that made her high school experience so fulfilling and memorable—including participation in synchronized swimming, school plays, and as a member of the track team. Indira joined the track team her Senior year and went all the way to the Regional Finals as a member of the 400-meter relay team. She said, "I surprised everybody, including myself, with how far and how fast I could go. This was really important to me because it showed me that there are so many things I don't yet know about myself that I can uncover if I just try." Indira is planning a dual major in biological engineering and Asian languages and cultures, but her many other interests include pre-med, forestry, and education.
