Model UN Brings Impressive Results in Winter Cleveland Council on World Affairs Conference

The Winter Cleveland Council on World Affairs Model United Nations was held on December 6 and 7 at Lorain County Community College and Laurel students shined at the event.
Jaclyn Ullman ’21 and Julia Johnson ’18 won the Best Position Paper award representing Russia in the Human Rights Council; Valerie Zborovsky ’21 and Catherine McCarthy ’18 won Excellent Delegation representing the Netherlands in the Commission on Narcotic Drugs; and Isabella Atzemis ’21 and Ria Raj ’21 won the Best Position Paper award representing Ethiopia in the Security Council. Model UN advisors Kirsten Rosebrock-Hayes and Bill Rice have been hard at work preparing the students for this conference. Congratulations to the team!
