Cleveland Jewish News Highlights “Sophiepalooza” in honor of Sophia Herschman ‘15

Several Laurel Alumnae were part of a recent Cleveland Jewish News story honoring Sophia Herschman ‘15, a Laurel classmate who passed away in May from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. The story highlighted “Sophiepalooza”, a fundraising event developed by friends, including Hayley Donahue '16, Talia Fleshler '15, Erin Saada '16, Madison Friedman '15, Lucy Feldman '16, and Emily DeSantis '16.

“Sophiepalooza was held at the Bogart House in Brooklyn N.Y., in honor, memory and celebration of the 26-year-old who died in May from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. The $114,000 proceeds from the event benefited the coordinated care program for patients with Ehlers-Danlos at Cleveland Clinic, a program that Sophia and her family helped to establish,” the article read.
